Volunteers will arrive at Hy-Vee in the morning and be greeted by Ozarks Food Harvest staff. All supplies for this food and fund drive will be provided, specific instructions will be reviewed and explained at the start of the day. Volunteers will politely greet shoppers as they enter the store and ask them to consider purchasing and donating the most needed food items for hunger relief as detailed on provided flyers and/or make a monetary donation.
Volunteers will also be provided with hunger statistics and talking points to help highlight the need in southwest Missouri and to support volunteers in serving as hunger educators.
Snacks, drinks and lunch will be provided for all volunteers as well as tables, chairs and a canopy tent for shade. Please dress appropriately for this outdoor event.
