Volunteer at The Food Bank and create a Hope Note for local children receiving Weekend Backpacks!
Each week of the school year, over 1,600 kids receive a bag of nutritious, kid-friendly food for the weekend from Ozarks Food Harvest. Each bag contains six meals, snacks, beverages and a hopeful note created by volunteers.
More than 63,000 Weekend Backpack bags are distributed each year and it is our goal to ensure that every weekend backpack has an encouraging and hopeful note for the child receiving it.
Positive words of encouragement let children know that their community supports and cares about them. Draw a fun picture, share happy thoughts and get creative!
All supplies for Hope Notes are provided by Ozarks Food Harvest.
